Role Description

 

The Global Securitized Products and Private Credit (“SPPC”) business is looking for a business manager to join the team. The candidate will work with the existing COO team and business leadership across Sales, Trading and Structured Finance in day-to-day business management and executing business strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the Americas SPPC business working closely with global partners. Position will report directly to the Managing Director and Global COO of SPPC and plays a crucial role to assist in increasing productivity, efficiency and profitability.

 

 

Job Duties

 

  • Day-to-day business management working closely with front office and corporate partners (finance, risk, operations, legal, HR and compliance)

  • Support product leadership in all aspects of business – executing strategy, budgeting and financial planning, new product growth

  • Drive new business initiatives to expand product / geographical footprint

  • Financial resources (capital, funding, balance sheet) planning and periodic management

  • Vendor management – on boarding new vendors, oversee existing vendors and managing overall spend

  • Facilitate people strategy including on boarding new joiners and coordinating hiring process

  • Support financial and headcount resource management through budgeting, forecasting, expense and cost management, and hiring

  • Assist with other stakeholder and senior management presentations or request for information

  • Ensure efficient adherence to operating models

  • Determine priorities and identify opportunities to simplify. Identify and implement process improvements to ensure teams are maximizing productivity and driving efficiencies. 

  • Maintain org charts and headcount management in collaboration with global partners

  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of duties based on the evolving needs of the business

  • Maintain strong relationships across all business leaders and employees

 

 

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required

 

  • At least 3-6 years’ experience in a similar role within business management / COO, finance or operations role is strongly preferred

  • Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written communication skills who is able to flex between strategic and tactical items for varying audiences.  Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

  • Ability to quickly develop effective trust based relationships, working closely with cross functional stakeholders across the business and influence outcomes without formal authority

  • High energy, driven entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work well independently and virtually, ensuring follow through

  • Collaboration and relationship building including the ability to successfully interact with key internal partners, team members, and across all levels of management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw sound, data-based conclusions.

  • Thought leader with practical decision making ability

  • Driven, self-motivated and attentive to details with entrepreneurial mindset

  • Prior experience in financial services industry in preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and managing multiple projects / tasks at the same time

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
