Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Software Developer to join our dynamic Equity Derivatives IT team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of critical systems that support our fast-paced Front Office trading operations. We are looking for an individual with a profound understanding of core computer science principles and a proven track record of delivering robust and innovative solutions in demanding environments.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance, low-latency software solutions for our Equity Derivatives business, including pricing, risk management, trading, and post-trade lifecycle systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Front Office traders, quantitative analysts, and other IT teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Contribute to the architectural design and evolution of our equity derivatives platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.Participate actively in code reviews, promote best practices, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to ensure system stability.Stay abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and machine learning frameworks, evaluating their potential application to enhance our capabilities.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd level support for critical applications, participating in on-call rotations as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is essential; a Master's degree is highly preferred.Exceptional grasp of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals is a must.
  • Strong proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages, with a good working knowledge of the others: C++, C#, Python, TypeScript.
  • Demonstrated mastery of database concepts, including relational databases (SQL, stored procedures) and experience with in-memory caching technologies (e.g., Redis).
  • Solid understanding of cloud architectures and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Proven experience working in high-demand, fast-paced environments, with a track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team structure.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Well-versed in new technologies and familiar with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Git).
  • Prior experience in financial services, particularly within Equity Derivatives or other capital markets domains.
  • Familiarity with distributed computing, messaging infrastructures (e.g., Kafka, Solace), and compute farms.
  • Experience with front-end development frameworks (e.g., React.js) for building intuitive user interfaces. 

 

Successful candidates will be engaged under a contract for services with a third party.
