Nomura is seeking a hands on senior Developer in its Reference Data team to guide the development of its Client & Account/SSI On-boarding and related systems. The candidate should have 10+ years of strong development experience using multiple technologies and should have strong expertise in the area of designing, developing and rolling out new solutions or significantly enhancing existing solutions.
Technology Skills
- Strong Core Java with hands on knowledge and experience on multi-threaded programming and micro services.
- Spring/Hibernate, JUnit
- Sybase (SQL/MSSQL)
- Ability to work in a global team environment.
- Autosys
- Maven, Jenkins
- Design paradigms like Microservices
- Messaging interfaces (e.g. json/XML/DTD/ structure)
- Cloud CI/CD development
- Linux Container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Knowledge & practical usage of Design Patterns
- Proficiency in a Linux/Unix environment
The candidate should ideally have one or more of these skills :
- Rule engines e.g. DROOLS
- Angular/REACT
- BPM Tools
- Design of cloud native apps
- Understanding of Lifecyle of Client Onboarding
Organizational Skills
- A strong sense of ownership of deliveries and a team player with good communication skills.
- Full software development lifecycle experience
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor junior staff members
- Ability to work in distributed, global teams
- Strong sense of quality in a software development process
- Understanding of key reference data concepts : Counterparty or Accounts.
- Experience working in a rapidly changing, fast paced business environment.
- Understanding of data-model concepts (entities, attributes, relationships, etc)
