Division Overview:

 

Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments, and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. The electronic Fixed Income offering at Nomura is a critical component of our business. Electronic trading volumes in the industry continue to grow and offer clients an efficient means of execution.

 

 

Business Unit Overview:

 

The Fixed Income Electronic Trading team is responsible for managing Nomura’s Rates and Credit Electronic trading offering. This primarily means overseeing client distribution, analysing client RFQ data on electronic trading platforms and electronic trading activity. The team supports businesses globally and there is heavy interaction with sales, trading, technology, and external clients/vendors.

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends and identify opportunities for growth in relation to Nomura’s Fixed Income electronic business.

 

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to develop strategic presentations and documents for client pitches, marketing materials etc.

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic recommendations for Fixed Income trading desks.

 

  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other tools to track market data and trends.
  • Provide analytical support for client engagements including data analysis and research.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related fields.

 

  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python.

  • Experience with data analysis and market research.
