Division Overview:

 

Nomura Global Markets division, based in Mumbai, the front-office team delivers pricing, modelling and risk management expertise to the Global Markets business. Founded as a centre of excellence, the group leads the way in price discovery and portfolio optimization techniques and is integral to the business’ aggressive revenue targets. The team is playing an integral role in structuring, pricing, risk management and new idea generation.

 

Business Unit Overview:

 

The Fixed Income Electronic Trading Sales support team is responsible for managing Nomura’s Rates and Credit Electronic trading offering for low touch clients. This primarily means overseeing client distribution, supporting configurations on electronic trading platforms and supporting electronic trading activity. The team supports businesses globally and there is heavy interaction with sales, trading, technology, and external clients/vendors.

 

By developing strong relationships with our client base through consistent interaction, independent advice and pre-eminent access to Asia, we have built a powerful global franchise.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with regional Fixed Income Electronic Sales teams to analyse trading patterns and drive sales initiatives to maximise revenue generation.
  • Partner with Fixed Income Sales/Trading desks on projects related to client trading behaviours and provide trading insights.
  • Support Sales/Trading teams by preparing market assessments, client-level analytics, target client lists, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Monitor global markets and key economic events, providing regular macroeconomic and business commentary to senior management.
  • Compile and present monthly business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to management
  • Liaise with internal subject matter experts (e.g., Product Management, Back Office/Middle Office, Risk, KYC, Onboarding, Legal, and Compliance) to gather and present crucial information for front office clients or internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with local and regional management to develop an efficient and scalable service model
  • Manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders to maintain an optimal operating model
  • Spearhead initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and improving efficiencies within the function

  • Knowledge of OTC and Cash Fixed Income products and markets is desirable – as is exposure to electronic trading.
