Division Overview:

 

Global Markets Division: Based in Mumbai, the front-office team which works on a team extension model delivers pricing, modelling and risk management expertise to the Global Markets business. Founded as a centre of excellence, the group leads the way in price discovery and portfolio optimization techniques and is integral to the business’ aggressive revenue targets. The team is playing an integral role in structuring, pricing, risk management and new idea generation.

 

Team Overview

 

The Fixed Income Electronic Markets Client Services team is responsible for managing Nomura’s Rates and Credit Electronic trading offering. This primarily means overseeing client distribution, development of the electronic platform and supporting electronic trading activity. The team supports businesses globally and there is heavy interaction with sales, trading, technology, and external clients/vendors.

 

By developing strong relationships with our client base through consistent interaction, independent advice and pre-eminent access to Asia, we have built a powerful global franchise.

 

The Electronic Client Service team is responsible for supporting Nomura’s Fixed Income electronic trading offering to clients 23/5. This primarily means configuration of clients for trading on Multi Dealer Platforms. The team provides real time first line customer support to clients and proactively monitors flows on across platforms to identify and escalate issues.

Role & Responsibilities:

 

 

 

  • Responsible for working with local FI e-client services team in EMEA/Asia/US hours to enable client traders to trade electronically on various execution platforms like Bloomberg, Tradeweb and MarketAxess.
     
  • Partner with regional leads and product managers to generate adhoc data as and when requested.

 

  • Ability to take initiatives to automate some of the repetitive manual BAU tasks.

 

  • Core BAU will include gaining knowledge on Fixed Income and eFX business and applying the knowledge to build automated workflows.

  • Hands-on Python or VBA macros and technology mind-set is a must.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are critical.

  • Knowledge of OTC and Cash FX/Fixed Income products and markets is desirable – as is exposure to electronic trading.
  • Excellent team work and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders and interact with all levels of individuals in the business.
  • Ability to multi task and work in a high pressure and dynamic environment is critical.
