The Wholesale Data & Operation Technology AI Labs team in India is an integral part of the global team which is responsible to build and enhance Data Lake Platform. This is a global team located geographically across regions.

Data Services is a critical function responsible for delivering comprehensive global data solutions across the Wholesale Division. Operating through a globally distributed model, the team provides essential market and reference data capabilities that underpin the organization's core operations and strategic initiatives.

The team structure comprises highly skilled Data Engineers and Product Owners, complemented by dedicated Project Management professionals. These project managers hold responsibility for executing and delivering complex, high-impact initiatives across the division, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological capabilities.

Working in close collaboration with Global Markets Business, Risk, Finance, and Operations change teams, Data Services maintains strategic partnerships across the organization. The team's effectiveness is built upon strong stakeholder relationships and executive sponsorship within the business lines. Additionally, the function maintains robust partnerships with both internal and external technology partners, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge data solutions that meet evolving business requirements.

This collaborative approach, combined with technical expertise and strategic vision, enables Data Services to deliver innovative solutions while maintaining operational excellence across the global enterprise.

Role description:

• We seek an accomplished professional to provide executive leadership for our Enterprise Data Lake platform, a critical infrastructure supporting sophisticated quantitative analysis, model validation, and alpha generation activities across our global Front Office operations
• The role is to work in a project management capacity across the Enterprise Data Lake platform delivering new and evolving cross-functional project/programme initiatives.
• This book of work encompasses high-profile, global deliverables, that are sponsored by senior leadership across the Global Markets business lines.
• The duration and type of initiative may vary significantly, but most commonly involve business/framework reviews to assess current state processes and define/deliver an optimised target state.
• Depending on the scope of the review involved (and any associated regulatory deadlines), project duration can range from 8 weeks to 18 months.
• This role reports into the Global Head of the Data Services, who has ultimate responsibility for successful delivery of the portfolio of initiatives. However, the role requires a proactive candidate who is able to work across multiple projects simultaneously, take ownership and independently drive delivery. 

Key objectives critical to success:

• Architect and execute the transformation of our global operating framework to optimize service delivery and operational excellence
• Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across trading operations, quantitative research divisions, and technology partners
• Orchestrate comprehensive portfolio management strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization
• Spearhead operational excellence initiatives to enhance platform capabilities and maximize stakeholder value
• Establish and oversee strategic vendor partnerships and data integration frameworks
• Formulate and implement robust governance frameworks and performance metrics
• Manage the creation of both Working Group and Steering Committee materials, lead meetings, capture key actions and track timely delivery.
