Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.
Function Overview
Chief Data Office is the Group Central Data and Analytics arm that works closely with the Group Businesses and Group Corporate functions to enable the execution Nomura Group Strategy through Robust Data Standards & Governance, Actionable Performance Metrics & MIS, and High Impact Information and Analytics Products and Solution.
Job Purpose:
To support the Global Project Management activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage implementation of Enterprise Data Governance policies, standards and framework across regions
- Manage global data governance CoE (centre-of-excellence) supporting regional regulatory compliance and reporting
- Lead the enterprise change management; Data Stewardship capability roadmap implementation by closely working with Business stewards
- Manage Data product delivery lifecycle - define project scope, roadmap and delivery milestones
- Regional CBP / KSMMs data quality issue resolution enforcement
- Publish Regional Data Quality and Metadata Adoption metrics
- Periodic review & attestation of Data Quality and Metadata assets
- Publish Regional/Global forum (committee) materials
- Enable Agile team delivery – define Product Epic, Story and features, work with Product team to track, manage and deliver product features
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to Stakeholders and CDO senior management
- Utilise industry best practices, techniques and standards for project execution
- Measure project performance to identify areas of improvements
Qualification & Core Skills requirement:
- Must have 12+ Years of Data Management implementation experience; end-end data lifecycle management.
- Preferably techno-functional background with hands-on expertise with enterprise data governance implementation
- Must have SME knowledge with Data Governance core pillars; Data Quality and Metadata Management.
- Exposure to Cloud Data Governance will be added plus
- Ability to lead complex programs; stakeholder management at global scale, collaborate at all levels of a global organization
- Must have strong program management experience supported with good communication skills.
- Must have business analysis skills – delivered data solutions; analytical use-cases for stakeholders
- Must have experience in Scrum Agile team; preferred Scrum master with relevant tooling exposure
- Preferred experience in Financial Services and other consumer centric business
- Preferred MBA or PMP certification with minimum of 8-10 years of relevant project management experience.
