Role & Responsibilities:

 

 

The primary responsibilities for the roles within the Prime Equity Finance – Funding Desk would include:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of Prime Equity Finance – Funding Desk supporting Asia Shift, reporting at 6.30 am IST.
  • Manage and monitor securities lending, repos and other equity financing transactions to optimize funding strategies and liquidity.
  • Monitor and track exposures to tri-party and other lenders. Assess potential risks, identify vulnerable positions and manage them proactively.
  • Ensure effective Collateral Management, track changes in day-over-day collateral valuation, sync with collateral schedules, manage recalls / pledges, record dates, etc.
  • Build MIS to provide daily funding requirements, outstanding borrowing, liquidity positions, margin utilization and counterparty risk exposure.
  • Help manage Financial Resource and Firms Inventory Management investigate trouble shoot issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Co-ordinate with the Asia funding desk on analysis related to Markets conditions, identify opportunities to optimize financing terms and recommend strategies for margin financing & liquidity management etc.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying and evaluating potential opportunities for the desk.

  • Strong knowledge of Equities, Equity Derivatives, Convertible Bonds, Fixed Income, Repo, and Futures and Options.

  • Good general knowledge & understanding of current macro-economic trends.
  • Strong logical, analytical and problem solving skills are a must.
  • Strong team player, a quick learner and willing to put extra effort to build client / stakeholder relations and garner business knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel at expert level.
  • Self-starter and ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines.
  • Experience of BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

 

 

  • Previous experience in Global Markets (Prime Brokerage, Equity Financing, Treasury or Risk management) preferred
  • Knowledge of Prime Brokerage and/or financing businesses, and client motivations.
  • Cross products (Cash / Synthetics PB, Sec-lending, Liquidity management etc.) knowledge a plus.
  • Experience of BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python is a plus.
