Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

• Own development of the applications, ensuring focus on correctness, resilience and quality
• Troubleshoot system problems, conduct thorough impact analysis of any changes across different application within Business Intelligence.
• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from initial discussions through to design, development, testing, deployment.
• Create detailed technical specifications and test case documents including results of regression testing for all changes.
• Design and implement data models to support various business needs, including analytics, reporting.
• Should be able to communicate and collaborate with global teams.
• Provide expert advice and design inputs in the areas of Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Data Governance, and Security.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (graduate).
• 5-8 years plus relevant industry experience.
• Must have strong hands-on experience with Informatica for ETL development.
• Candidate should be

1. Proficient in writing complex SQL queries.
2. Proficient in SQL Performance and Optimization such as:

1. Query optimization techniques
2. Understanding execution plans
3. Index usage and creation
4. Query performance troubleshooting

• Should have strong hands-on experience on Unix/Linux scripting.
• Should have strong hands-on experience on python scripting.
• Should have working knowledge on Gitlab CI/CD.
• Should have experience in Jenkins for automatic deployment of code changes.
• Have hands-on experience with at least 1 end to end implementation cycle of a data analytics project.
• Should have worked on application support.
