Function Overview

 

  • International Wealth Management (IWM) in Nomura has been expanding its business.  Over last years – several enhancements are ongoing on continuous basis including expanding newer set of applications in IWM application landscape
  • This job role – will report to Head of IWM Technology in Singapore  
  • Good knowledge of Avaloq Banking System is a must

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Worked independently on development changes after receiving the functional requirements from technical BA
  • Lead and drive solution building / validation for A&D workshops across different streams to ensure consistent and complete requirement & solution coverage.
  • Specifying new functionality in collaboration with Developers and users – to obtain closures to FRS, TSD and Use case documents.
  • Act as a functional subject matter expert at specific areas and able to go deep into requirement / solution gaps with support from product architects.
  • Lead and drive implementation projects at Build / Test / Go-Live stages.
  • Support developers during implementation – including planning & testing.
  • Participate/support in regional and/or global projects

 

 

Job Requirements

 

  • University Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or banking or equivalent working experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the Technology space.
  • 5-7 years of working experience in Core Banking Platform/ Wealth Management domain.
  • Well versed in Accumulator / Deccumulator (AQDQ) products in Avaloq and its lifecycle
  • Significant experience working on Avaloq IDE ICE mainly on changes surrounding AQDQ products (STEX, ASSET,SECEVT2 business types)
  • Experience developing for Avaloq output stream (LETTER business type)  is a plus
  • Implementation experience with Avaloq Banking Suite, ACP functional and parameterization knowledge/experience is mandatory.
  • Demonstrate basic financial understanding in FX/MM/Equity/Derivatives and associated front to back operational workflows
  • Experienced in Wealth Management business / Order Management system / Execution Management System
  • Able to work with sense of urgency under multiple deadlines, can organize and deliver with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Willing to learn and able to adapt to different technologies
  • Self-motivated, responsible and reliable team player
  • Communicates well & across all levels.

 

 

 

 

 

Preferred:

 

  • Completed Avaloq Certification training
  • Knowledge of market data and financial models will be advantage
  • Practical understanding of Interfaces with Bloomberg / FIX protocol
  • Technical competencies of programming languages like Java, Javascript, PL/SQL, Python, ReactJS, Angular, NodeJS, Git.   
  • Working knowledge of Assentis (client output management) & Omgeo (txn matching) platform.
  • Experience in working with agile methodologies
