Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Role Overview / Responsibilities

  • Oversight and consolidation CTO forecast and budget and associated commentaries and explains.
  • Maintaining multi-year forward cost projections.
  • Saves modelling, target management and tracking.
  • Review business cases for investment projects.
  • Creation of material to support discussions with the business and senior management (budgets, allocations, cost management forums, year-on-year analysis, trends, exit rate projections).
  • Ownership of the Infrastructure Service Catalogue configuration and outputs to explain costs to internal consumers.
  • Perform analytics to identify budget and forecast anolmalies and drive a culture of responsible budgeting and forecasting with high data quality
  • Development of metrics to support internal service benchmarking.
  • Partnership with Finance and IT Business Management Shared Services to ensure high quality outcomes and repeatable financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities for  improvements, simplification and global standardisation of Financial processes across IT Business Management and Finance.
  • Ensure strategic finance related initiatives support the needs of the Chief Technology Officer organisation.
  • Assist with ad hoc/day-to-day requests.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Financial Management – proven experience of forecasting and budgeing; thorough knowledge of concepts of Cash, P&L, Capitalisation and Accruals; Ability to analyze and present financial reports
  • Tools – Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint and data analytics.Execution – Structured in problem solving approach, analysis, planning and reporting
  • Motivation – Sets high standards for self and others with a strong desire to overachieve on agreed objectives
  • Stakeholder Management – Team player with good communication skills, able to work effectively with team members

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Finance, Business administration, Organization Behaviour or equivalent
