Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Role Overview:

Nomura is looking for an experienced technology engineer with a focus of supporting and administering the Middleware Messaging in Nomura.

The candidate will be located in Mumbai, and will be a member of the Global Middleware team.

Required Experience & Skills

• Intermediate to expert level knowledge of File Transfer technology: Axway SecureTransport.
• Good knowledge of Linux platform.
• General infrastructure experience working in support engineering role (6+ years).
• Experience in supporting production environments.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Strong practical and commercial sense

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Infrastructure automation implementations using Ansible, Python, Java.
• Experience in a BFSI organization.
• Good time management and prioritization of work tasks.
• Commitment to completion of work tasks, utilization of own initiative to resolve issues.
• Flexible approach to new, disruptive technologies so is able to pick up new skills quickly.
• Technical certifications are welcome.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage Managed File Transfer platforms like Axway SecureTransport..
• Troubleshoot various production Managed File Transfer related issues.
• Contribute to 24 x 7 support of the production environment.
• Problem solving, escalation and incident management.
• Ensuring uniform and cohesive monitoring is applied across the relevant infrastructures.
• Testing and upgrading the Managed File Transfer environments.
• Logging, tracking and analysis of associated metrics.
