Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.
The role will be a member of the Cloud Operations team in Powai, Mumbai. Project focus will be a combination of platform, private deliverables. This will involve close collaboration with platform engineering groups and transparent planning and management reporting. This position will directly contribute to the overall infra architecture and platform offering, supporting the deployment of on-premise applications, driving infrastructure implementations and serving as subject matter expert to the user community, across Infrastructure and Platform as a Service (Iaas/PaaS/IaaC).
This is an operations role, Providing a support through follow-the-sun model for Global Cloud Operations team, including on-call rotation and weekend coverage as needed.

The successful candidate will be expected to have the same ethos and appetite for automation / SRE and knowledge of cloud technologies.
Support coverage is provided during regular business hours corresponding to India and European markets. Position does not involve overnight shifts
Technical Experience/Knowledge Required:
Essential to have most of the following:
- Knowledge/experience of using Terraform and Ansible
- Scripting and source control skills (e.g. Python, Shell scripting, PowerShell, Powercli)
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Exposure to large scale IT infrastructure support
- Capacity planning and performance optimization
- Experience on VMware platform or Redhat OpenShift
- Understanding of Network concepts
- 4 - 8 years of relevant experience
Desirable, but not must:
- Understanding of Core Infra technologies like Load Balancers, DNS and LDAP
- Experience in Vibe Coding
- Experience in dashboading tools e.g. PowerBI
- ITIL experience including change and incident management preferred
- OS Platform knowledge Linux (RedHat 9.x or 8.x) OR Windows (2019, 2022)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Containers (preferably EKS or Rancher)
