Role & Responsibilities:

 

Role Overview:

 

Nomura is looking for a Collaboration Technology Support Engineer who will be part of the Nomura’s Workspace Collaboration Technology team. The candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day, global operational support and enhancements to several collaboration focused technologies: Microsoft 365 suite including SharePoint (on-premises and Cloud), Exchange Online, MS Teams OneDrive, Teams, Copilot. The role supports adjacent systems including Enterprise Vault, Merge1, Symphony, Box, Acronis. The role is based out of Mumbai, India and will be part of Nomura Services India Pvt Ltd.

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • Overall good working experience of 5-7 years providing hands-on L2 / L3 support.
  • Subject-matter expert knowledge on M365 technologies with a strong focus on SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business and MS Teams – Microsoft 365 Certified Professional.
  • Experience with hybrid SharePoint and hybrid Exchange environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-geo platforms and a solid understanding of change, problem and incident management processes.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell and scripting technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory and other core infrastructure components (i.e.Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory enterprise design principles etc.)
  • Strong oral and written communication as well as organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with a good sense of discipline and can manage time effectively.
  • A good awareness of audit, compliance, change control processes and procedures. Candidates will have spent a part of their career working in a mature organization with a well-developed audit control framework.

 Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with internal technology operations teams and third-party vendor support to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Product Deployment & Best Practices: Co-ordinate the release of software changes in-line with change management and release processes (ITIL) and appropriately inform end-users on feature enhancements, maintenance window and known issues.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all application processes including Knowledge Base articles, FAQs and Disaster Recovery Runbooks.
  • Security Updates & Compliance: Collaborate with IT Security and Compliance on regulatory requirements, cumulative updates and vulnerabilities to ensure compliant services.
