Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Candidate should have at least 5-7 years of experience in Application Support.
• Should be comfortable working with small teams and provide support in early India and UK shifts.
• Able to manage components of enterprise applications and provide application support for projects in Java, Python and/or shell scripting.
• Evangelize and promote strategic tools supported and maintained by SDLC Toolchain
• Help standardize deployment and release process for application teams using Nomura GPSE Toolchain
• Identify and flag operational issues / risks and collaborate with GPSE Toolchain team to address them
• Deliver high quality changes within agreed timelines
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Willing to learn new tools and technology and remain hands-on
• Open to work in shifts aligned with JPN and UK

Should able to provide weekend On call support when required.

• Good to have automation solutions for Nomura supported GPSE tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Docker/Podman , Ansible etc.)

Skillsets :

• Candidate must have good knowledge of OOPs and Java application support.
• Having good experience working with Linux is must.
• Must have understanding for Java/J2EE, Python and Shell scripting.
• Must have experience working with in Gitlab.
• Should be able to Query database using any Database Client.
• Good to have RDBMS and Database understanding.
• Good to have knowledge in Jenkins, Podman, Docker, Ansible, GitLab.
• Exposure to writing/enhancing automations using REST APIs, XML, JSON APIs and JS build tools
• Exposure to automation using Python/Java/Ansible language
• Ability to take initiative and end to end ownership, self- motivated individual, quality and improvement focused
