Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. The primary responsibility of the process re-engineering team is to help build, streamline, and automate infrastructure, harnesses, and tooling to help improve engineering velocity and product excellence within the firm. You enjoy developing tools that make the software engineering process better. This could be command line tools, web services, debugging tools, test data factories, automated release scripts, monitoring automation and RPA etc. Below are the key responsibilities of the Process Re-engineering Analyst role: 1. Help implement process re-engineering across group in line with technical direction 2. Identify and implement improvements within the engineering process across group 3. Work closely with Development & Infrastructure teams across group 4. Review the progress periodically with stakeholders The Process Re-engineering team focuses on the removal of toil in the engineering process through automation and process streamlining. The team works closely with application development teams and other platform engineering teams across group to eliminate inefficiencies and repetitive tasks. Skills and qualifications:  A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience  2+ years of experience with scripting (e.g. Shell Scripting, Python, Perl, RPA)  Enthusiasm and ability to learn and apply new technologies  Ability to work with others to implement Process Re-engineering tasks  Strong analytical problem-solving skills  Strong communication skills for cross team collaboration  Experience working with other developers/engineers in a team setting  Demonstrated skills in working across multi-functional teams to bring increased business value through seeing the bigger picture, collaboration and alignment of diverse needs  A strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audience, as well as influence and negotiate with stakeholders Preferred Skills  Good working knowledge of Ansible  Experience of working in Financial IT  Git/Jenkins Pipelines  Previous experience in automating manual processes  Experience of working with senior development and infrastructure managers within an investment bank or similar production environment  Hands on technical background on development, infrastructure and production stab
