Divisional Overview:
International Wealth Management Technology division at Nomura Singapore supports the dynamic financial business through the development of strategic initiatives. IT partners with business to develop, implement and support sophisticated trading systems as well as middle and back-office systems through the user of state of art technology.
Position Specifications:
We are looking for a skilled System Analyst to lead and support the upgrade and transformation of our core banking system, client communication management system and digital banking channels including internet and mobile banking platforms. The role involves managing the full delivery lifecycle — from requirements definition through to implementation — ensuring enhanced user experience, robust functionality, and seamless integration across systems.
The candidate will act as the key interface between business users, technology teams, and vendors to ensure solutions meet strategic objectives and client expectations.

Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Tech Business Analysis & Requirements Definition
- Review Business Requirement document (BRD).
- Conduct business requirement clarification sessions with product owners, key users, architect.
- Document and maintain Functional Specifications (FSD) and User Stories.
- Walkthrough FSD with business stakeholders to obtain sign off.
- Walkthrough FSD with development team and review tech solution.
- Perform as-is / to-be process analysis to identify pain points and optimization opportunities.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive user journeys and interface enhancements.
- Ensure all requirements align with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards.
- Solution Formulation & Delivery Support
- Collaborate with solution architect and technical lead to define scalable and secure solution.
- Validate solution design against business objective and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principle.
- Review and oversee SIT, UAT, and regression testing phases, ensuring test coverage and timely issue resolution along with PM.
- Support production deployment activities and ensure successful cutover and post-launch stabilization.
- Vendor & Partner Management
- Engage with third-party vendor or system integrator involved in the solution delivery.
- Review technical deliverable, integration plan, and ensure adherence to agreed SLA and specification.
- Participate in vendor evaluations, RFP processes, and ensure contractual compliance.
- Manage multi-vendor dependencies across backend system, middleware, front-end channel.
Background / Experience
- 7-10 years of experience as a System Analyst in Banking environments.
- Proven experience in Avaloq core banking, Assentis and/or digital banking project encompassing internet banking, mobile banking, client outputs like statements and advices.
- Strong understanding of wealth management banking process and digital user journey.
- Hands-on experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and tools like JIRA, Confluence and ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with API integration, authentication mechanism, UX/UI principle, and core banking interface.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MAS and HKMA and HK SFC technology risk and cybersecurity risk guidelines and policy.
