Department overview:

Prime Technology is a global IT development and support organisation at Nomura, its primary purpose is to design, build and support IT solutions for the Prime Brokerage Business. The PB Business is a global group, operating in all major global economic centres

Role description:

• Design and develop Java/J2EE based applications
• Collaborate with development and support teams across different regions
• Support resolution of production and user issues, application testing and maintenance releases
• Partner with QA teams for unit and integration testing
• Provide regular updates regarding status and progress to management and stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Have a willingness to learn new technologies / tools as required

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

• 3 to 8 years of solid understanding of Core Java and J2EE Technologies
• Good experience in Spring
• Good understanding of MS SQL or any other RDBMS and SQL
• Experience with any modern Web Development framework like ReactJS is a plus.
• Experience with any DevOps CI/CDh framework
• Experience in Tibco EMS and JMS
• Scripting knowledge like Perl and Shell Scripting
• Good knowledge of Architecture and Design principles, OOPS concepts and their application.
• Experience in Performance analysis and tuning of application
• Experience in finance domain is beneficial
• Must be a team player with have prior experience in working in a global development team
