Divisional Overview:  

The Risk Management Division encompasses the firm's comprehensive risk framework responsible for determining and managing the overall risk appetite for the firm. The division is responsible for effectively managing the firm's risk-return profile, which ensures the efficient deployment of the firm's capital. It is one of the firm's core competencies and is independent of the trading areas and operational areas  

Business Unit Overview:   

 

The Stress Testing Risk Infrastructure (STRI) team serves as the operational backbone for stress testing function in risk management department globally, specializing in sign-off & adjustments governance, metric level data quality checks, and operational support of stress testing frameworks across multiple risk domains including Market Risk (MR), Credit Risk (CR), and Financing Risk (FR). The team also specializes in enhancement projects and new implementations like Stress testing projects & platform, ensuring the integrity and completeness of stress testing operations across the global risk management framework.

Role & Responsibilities:  

Market Risk Stress Testing:

  • Execute weekly & monthly stress scenario adjustments
  • Manage comprehensive month-end sign-off processes for stress scenarios at regional, global, and legal entity levels
  • Handle regional/product line specific monthly activity updates including MIS and reporting
  • Perform daily sanity stress data checks to ensure data completeness and consistency
  • Support IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk in Banking Book) monthly sign-offs

Credit Risk Stress Testing:

  • Generate and manage Stressed Current Exposure (SCE) adjustments
  • Conduct weekly PRA exposure explain processes
  • Validate stress batches for scenario stressed EEPE & SCE metrics
  • Support quarterly regulatory batch validations and semi-annual credit index mapping updates

Financing Risk (Counterparty VaR):

  • Handle daily financing risk adjustments against counterparties
  • Execute stress loss controls checks on both daily and weekly frequencies
  • Monitor financing risk VaR and indirect jump metrics
  • Governance & Reporting

Data Quality Management:

  • Implement data quality processes around all data inputs and outputs to and from stress testing systems
  • Analysis of data, resolution of breaks and clean-up of existing data
  • Produce weekly management updates & key metrics

  • Knowledge of SCE, EEPE, IRRBB, and other stress testing metrics
  • Proficiency in business analysis and operational activities
