Divisional Overview:
The Risk Management Division encompasses the firm's comprehensive risk framework responsible for determining and managing the overall risk appetite for the firm. The division is responsible for effectively managing the firm's risk-return profile, which ensures the efficient deployment of the firm's capital. It is one of the firm's core competencies and is independent of the trading areas and operational areas
Business Overview:
The Credit Risk Reporting Team integral is part of the overarching Credit Risk Management. CRR has responsibility to monitor and report on counterparty exposures impacting Capital and Limits, governance around credit limit utilisations and risk reporting for various Senior Risk Management, KSMMs, Business and Regulatory reporting.
CRR works closely with various teams within Credit Risk Management and mainly looks after preparation of reports for operational & regulatory reporting, KSMMs and other senior Risk Management committee packs. The team is responsible for development & publication of such reports & committee packs. The team is expected to review the reporting materials, challenge the content as well as provide subjective risk analysis of various risk metrics basis defined variance thresholds.
The team gets closely involved in various changes projects relating to Credit Risk Model maintenance, Risk engines, during introduction or enhancements to various exposures/ metrics, new legal entities, Model / valuation function release testing and change adoption. The team is also responsible for various regulatory capital calculation and sign off process for various regions from risk management aspects.

Role & Responsibilities:
Specific support to Powai Reporting Lead and Global Head of Reporting by leading the operational deliveries of Credit Risk reports, MI committee packs, risk exposure analytics for Credit Risk Management and ensuring reports are produced with governance & controls aligned to policies & procedures
End to end rationalization of regulatory & global reports, ensuring uniformity and completeness and responsible for monitoring production of Credit Risk KSMMs, MI committee packs for Regulators, Board Members, Businesses and Senior Risk & Finance Management
Prioritize and manage book of work to ensure all internal and external deadlines are met for all regions, responsible to deliver all credit risk reporting requirements for all of Nomura’s regional sites
Provision of ad-hoc and portfolio reporting to support Risk Management, Business, Regulators e.g. Country Risk / WWR / Stress testing / Loans / CCP / Sector Concentration
To provide in-depth risk exposure analytics & commentary and drive solutions on Reporting queries; expertise on various credit risk metrics – EE, LEQ, Country, PFE, Collateral, CE, SCE, WWR, etc.
Support for Chief Risk Officers, Global Head & Regional Head of Credit, COO Risk and work with Country, Portfolio Analytics & Internal Rating teams to drive changes as per regulatory or BCBS-239 requirements
Liaison with Risk Middle Office Leads on infrastructure & model changes and point of contact to liaise with cross-divisional initiatives e.g. Market Risk / Finance / CRA / Internal Audit
MI Change initiatives: to deliver Single Platform Reporting capability and automation of existing reports; transition of excel based reports into interactive Dashboard reporting and optimize report production timelines though automations and create efficiencies
Design and implementation of new reporting requirements during Fire drill / Stress Reporting / Crisis Management e.g. Nomura’s exposure to the Oil Industry or Exposure analytics during Covid
Improving Reporting Governance architecture, bridging with Internal Audit / Ops Risk, provision of robust RCSAs, management of adjustments and EUCs
Maintain proper documentation of all the processes including any ad-hoc assignments
Automate report generations, enhance data quality workflows using in house tools and AI.
