Job Title: Project Manager

The CTO function oversees group-wide transformation on strategically important, mission critical projects for the firm. We’re aligned to our key businesses across the group and operate to global standards and governance across our programs. Role description:
The project manager will be aligned to strategic transformation programs within the CTO International Change Wholesale Front Office team, managing complex front-to-back change initiatives and digital transformation projects. The role is aligned to Nomura’s Equities business and will work closely with business, functions and technology stakeholders to deliver complex front to back change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage business and technology transformation programs
- Manage cross-functional project teams and stakeholder relationships
- Oversee project planning, execution, and risk management
- Establish governance frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines
- Drive benefits realization and continuous improvement
Required Skills & Experience:
Business/Technical:
- Proven track record of delivering complex change projects within financial markets/trading environments
- Strong understanding of investment banking/markets products and operations
- Deep understanding of Equity Derivatives products including:
- Listed and OTC options, futures, and swaps
- Structured products and exotic derivatives
- Delta-one products (including ETFs, swaps, and forwards)
- Knowledge of equity derivatives pricing models, Greeks, and risk management
- Experience with derivatives trading systems and platforms
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid approaches)
- Proficiency in project management, data analysis and presentation tools
- Understanding of market conventions and industry standards for Equity Derivatives
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements specific to derivatives markets (e.g., EMIR, Dodd-Frank)
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into business solutions
Leadership:
- Proven ability to manage multiple global workstreams
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Experience managing project budgets and benefits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, Technology, or related)
- Professional certifications (Agile, PMP, PRINCE2)
