GES Technology India team is an integral part of the global team, which is spread across US, UK, HK and India. It works in partnership with the regions to deliver technology solutions for global execution business.

Role & Responsibilities:

Nomura’s proprietary algorithmic trading systems that address our client’s diverse range of trading styles and goals. The platform trades a significant portion of client order flow per day globally and represents a business-critical system for the firm.  We provide a core set of global, event-driven, multi asset trading strategies and deploy a library of regularly updated component tactics and extensive controls to refine behaviour.  Clients can easily tailor strategies to meet specific objectives.

The team works closely with the Quants to bring new strategies to the market and to constantly evolve the portfolio of the algorithmic offerings of the firm.  The role requires an excellent technologist with deep experience in mission critical and highly evolving systems. This is a hands-on individual contributor role within our algorithmic trading platform.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Deliver new features, enhancements and bug fixes to our algo trading platform that has ultra-low latency and high throughout processing
• Participate in the full project life cycle including technical analysis, design, data analysis and mapping, development and testing
• Understand the existing business functions and participate in defining new solutions that meet business objectives.
• Liaise with the business and development teams with regards to priorities and progress of various tasks and projects.
• Ensure adherence to functional architecture strategy and compliance to company development standards.
• If necessary, help manage projects for the implementation of new systems or system upgrades.
• Willing to work and contribute across entire SDLC – including dev, testing and support. Collaborate with various development, QA and support teams across different regions
• L2 & L3 support – quick support resolution of production and user issues, application testing and maintenance releases. Interface with other support teams, global internal and external clients related to support, use and output of the products. As part of global team, act as key contact point for queries of both technical and functional nature.
• Contribute towards establishing software delivery best practices. Collaborate on architecture, design decisions, and code reviews
• Willing to own deliveries and work hands-on across all aspects of software delivery including development, testing, documentation and support.
• Mentor/guide other junior team members as necessary.

Mandatory Skill Set :

• Investment Banking domain – good understanding of capital markets
• Experience working with financial markets and understanding of local market characteristics
• Knowledge of exchange connectivity / FIX / Algo Trading or other trading systems.

• Ability to exhibit high level of professionalism in team-oriented environment, able to work with global teams across geographies

Qualification :B.E/B.Tech/MCA/MTech
