Securitized Products Developer

Securitized Products Technology is looking for a versatile developer to help build, enhance and support our next generation securitized products platform. The ideal candidates will be clear, organized thinkers who are able to communicate well within the team and with our business clients. Most importantly, they will be enthusiastic about learning about new fixed income instruments, be confident enough to work with limited specifications, and enthusiastic about building excellent software that makes a direct impact on the bottom line of the business we support.

Working closely with front-office and middle office to enhance existing systems and develop new functionality to support a growing business.
Coding/setup of generation and monitoring of downstream feeds to other systems.
Respond to ad-hoc queries from Sales & Trading and Middle Office.
Provide support for trade capture and monitoring of Front Office.
Integrate various vendor systems with internal Nomura systems and processes.

Excellent problem solving skills and an ability to work with Data.
Strong Database skills, SQL and one or more of MS SQL, Sybase, Postgres
Strong server side programming skills in Java/Spring/Hibernate.
Strong Scripting Skills – Shell/Python/Perl
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must have good interpersonal skills and a team player.
Understands and uses best-practice software engineering skills.

Knowledge of Mortgages, Whole Loans, Warehouse Financing etc.
Knowledge of modern software development practices.
