Job Title:  Principal Software Engineer

Job Description:

This is an Individual Contributor position. The roles and responsibilities are as follows:

• Develop and maintain large, complex Equity Finance Applications
• Understand the existing business functions and participate in defining new solutions that meet their business objectives
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust frontend solutions, by understanding the overall ecosystem
• Deliver high quality code within the committed deadlines
• Ensure reusable, maintainable, scalable UI components
• Expected to work with development and support team members across different regions & time zones
• Mentor Junior team members, review code, provide feedback & enforce coding standards
• Support resolution of production and user issues, application testing and maintenance releases
• Provide regular updates regarding status or progress made to managers and stakeholders.
• Gain understanding of various applications and systems being developed by the peer groups

Key Skills:

Mandatory Skills:

• 6-10 years of work experience with a solid understanding of web development using React/Redux/Vite
• Good understanding of with MaterialUI framework and HTML/CSS
• Strong ownership mindset and accountability
• Candidate should be a quick learner & have ability to work on multiple deliverables. Should have demonstrated these capabilities in the past.
• Strong listening, problem solving, analytical skills and excellent communication skills (with both Technical and Business Stakeholders)
• Must be a team player with prior experience in working in a global development team

Desirable Skills:

• Good understanding/working experience of AG-Grid framework
• Experience in any Continuous Integration and Build environment
• Experience working in short agile sprint
• Industry exposure of Investment banking
