Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

• Work closely with Business and Technologists to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of Nomura’s externally facing Global Research Portal website.
• Application development/enhancements - manage and take full ownership of the assigned tasks/project including user engagement, release planning, post release testing etc.
• Optimize performance, ensure security, stability and scalability, and drive innovation across our cloud environments.
• Innovate solutions that promote the Nomura brand and drives competitive advantage.

3) Requirements (indicate mandatory and/or preferred):

Mandatory

• Minimum of 5yrs of experience in professional web development, building and maintaining internet facing websites and applications on cloud.
• Full-stack Web Development – Strong core HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• Hands on experience on React, Java, Spring Boot & Relational DBMS
• Associate/Professional-Level AWS Certification: Solutions Architect/Developer
• Cloud / Microservice / Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes
• Should be familiar with DevOps practices and tools, CI/CD & Test Automation
• Development tools: Gitlab, JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus, SonarQube, co-pilot
• Should have prior experience in team management and coaching skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

• Agile Framework experience preferred.
• Financial Tech / Investment Research experience is a plus.
