Divisional Overview:

 

International Wealth Management Technology division at Nomura Singapore supports the dynamic financial business through the development of strategic initiatives.  IT partners with business to develop, implement and support sophisticated trading systems as well as middle and back-office systems through the user of state of art technology.

 

 

 

Position Specifications:

 

We are looking for a skilled Technology Enterprise Architect to support the delivery work of IWM IT department. IWM business has launched a transformation program called IWM 2.0, which aims at modernizing it IT architecture and extend its product coverage in view a significant growth in term of number of clients, AUM and Business staff.

 

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end application and functional architecture for Wealth Management platforms. The role bridges Business (Front Office, Advisory, Operations and compliance) and external SaaS ecosystems, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

 

 

The Candidate will report to Wholesales architecture as well as the Head of IWM IT.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

 

Architecture & Solution Design

    • Define end-to-end functional and technical architecture for Wealth Management systems:
      • Wealth Management Core Banking: Avaloq
      • Client Onboarding & KYC
      • Portfolio Management & Advisory
      • Corporate Actions & Asset Services
      • Performance, Reporting & statements
      • Product trading in open and close architecture
    • Design target state architectures, roadmaps, and transition plans.
    • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security and regulatory standards.

Functional Architecture & Business Alignment

    • Translate business requirements into functional architecture, capabilities and solution designs
    • Partner with :
      • Wealth Management Business
      • IT (Infra, Enterprise architects, other governance teams).
    • Own functional decomposition, business capability models, and system interactions.

IT Architecture & Integration

    • Define integration patterns across :
      • Core Wealth platforms (e.g. Avaloq, Contineo, Margin Man, etc.)
      • Market data (Bloomberg, Reuters)
      • Trading & execution platforms
      • Downstream systems (GL, Risk, Reporting)
      • Design APIs, event-driven, and batch integration models.
      • Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, availability, scalability)
      • SaaS & Cloud Integration Architecture

Governance & Delivery Support

  • Review and approve:
    • Solution Designs
    • Functional Specifications / High level Design / Low Level Design
  • Participate and present IWM Applications in architecture review boards
  • Support delivery teams during build, UAT and production rollout.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, Security and compliance controls.

Regulatory, Risk & Security

  • Ensure solutions comply with:
    • MAS, HKMA regulations
    • AML/KYC/FATCA/CRS
    • Data privacy and security standards
    • Embed auditability, traceability and controls in architecture
  • Define secure integration standards:
    • Authentication
    • Data encryption

 

Background / Experience

Functional/Domain Skills

  • Strong Wealth Management domain knowledge
  • Deep understanding of front-to-back wealth processes.
  • Data models and business objects

Technical/IT Skills

  • Experience with wealth platforms (one or more)
  • Avaloq, Temenos.etc.
  • Microservices/SOA
  • Integration Capabilities (Avaloq, APIs ...etc.)
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Open/Close architecture
  • Data architecture (reporting, analytics)
  • Could exposure (AWS/Azure)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or related field.
  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification (Preferred).
  • 10-15+ years of experience in wealth management IT
