Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Operate and develop existing Network Monitoring and Tooling platforms

-           Propose, design, and implement solutions to enhance network monitoring.

-           Develop Network Observability utilising SevOne, Thousandeyes and Granfana dashboards

-           Develop automation to assist in network troubleshooting.

-           Mentor fellow engineers on technical issues, standards and procedures

-           Assist in developing operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLO, and goals of the global network team.

Skills & Experience Required:

Strong understanding of Network tools, data analytics and observability.

Strong development skills & experience across multi-technology landscape.

Demonstrate strong understanding of turning requirements into viable solutions.

Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of networking components.

Background in Infrastructure as Code principals.

Knowledge Required:

• In-depth understanding of SevOne and Thousandeyes
• In-depth understanding of SNMP collectors, Syslog, SMARTs
• Exposure to Network automation and repository like Micro Focus NA
• In-depth understanding of scripting languages such as Python.
• In-depth understanding of Unix
• Exposure to Grafana
• Exposure to repositories such as GitLab or GitHub
• Knowledge of operating system fundamentals including Networking, CPU and Memory
• Knowledge of Network fundamentals including Switching and routing, LAN, MAN and WAN

Understanding of network technologies including ACI, EVPN, Load Balancer, Firewalls, Proxy beneficial
