Job Title: Principal Platform Engineer – Identity Cryptographic Services

1) Job/Group Overview:
· Nomura is currently undergoing a substantial modernization program across its identity and access management platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Identity Engineering function leading the engineering of the next-generation Public Key Infrastructure and Key Management platform solutions for the firm and driving Group technology standardization initiatives.
2) Responsibilities:
· Work with the product owner & other engineers to design, implement and scale new and existing systems in the Identity Cryptographic Services domain to support Certificate
Lifecycle Management Certificate Authorities, Key Management Services, and Hardware Security Module Platforms.
· Provide technical engineering leadership for Key Management and Public Key Infrastructure platforms.
· Support the modification of Key Management and Public Key Infrastructure platforms to drive strategic road map through consolidation and build out of new capabilities.
· Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior engineers within the team.
· Contribute towards ongoing automation and continuous improvement of existing services, including working closely with operational colleagues to improve general platform operability & stability.
· Maintain high quality documentation and designs.
3) Requirements (indicate mandatory and/or preferred):
Skills & Experience Mandatory:
· 7+ years of demonstrable experience with Key Management systems (e.g. Entrust Key Control / CSP, Thales Cipher Trust Manager),
· 7+ years of demonstrable experience with HSM platforms (e.g. Entrust nShield HSMs, Thales Luna HSMs)
· 7+ years of demonstrable experience with Internal and External Public Key Infrastructure
· Strong background in modern platform delivery toolchains, techniques and fundamentals to drive automation of deployment and configuration (e.g. Gitlab, Ansible, Terraform, Powershell, Bash, etc)
· Experience with hybrid cloud architectures (including AWS, Azure, GCP, etc).
· Experience working in agile environment (e.g. Scrum)
· Computer Science or similar degree
· Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or vendor-specific qualifications.
· Strong understanding of how Key management and PKI operate to enable data protection and identity capabilities.
Preferred:
· Experience with ServiceNow.
· Exposure to Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
· Awareness of and familiarity with ITIL
· Familiarity with modern telemetry and observability platforms (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana or similar).
· Financial Services Industry experience.
