Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Oversee the implementation and management of IAM controls using the IGA tools across the enterprise.
    • Drive innovation in IAM processes and technologies to enhance security, efficiency, and user experience.
    • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in IAM processes, including automation and AI-driven solutions.

 

  • Project and Controls management:

 

    • Manage the Key IAM control processes in Nomura including application onboarding, access certification, and reconciliation processes.
    • Direct the implementation of key IAM controls i.e. Joiner Leaver Transfers, Application onboarding, Access certification, and reconciliation in enterprise-wide IGA platform such as Saviynt platform.
    • Oversee the integration of IAM controls into all in-scope applications and systems.
    • Act as the primary escalation point for critical IAM issues and decisions.

 

  • Access Recertification Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish and maintain an enterprise-wide access recertification policy and framework
  • Define the frequency and scope of access reviews for different systems and data classifications
  • Oversee the implementation of automated access review tools and processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements regarding access reviews
  • Review and approve high-risk access exceptions and escalations
  • Monitor completion rates and effectiveness of recertification campaigns
  • Report recertification metrics and status to executive leadership

 

  • Unauthorized Access Detection and Remediation:

 

  • Define strategy and requirements for access monitoring systems
  • Establish response procedures for unauthorized access detection
  • Oversee implementation of access monitoring tools and controls
  • Review critical unauthorized access incidents and investigations
  • Ensure proper integration between access monitoring and identity management systems
  • Drive continuous improvement of detection capabilities

 

  • Governance and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain IAM governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with risk and audit teams to ensure IAM practices meet all relevant regulations.
    • Lead the development and enforcement of IAM policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.

 

  • Risk Management:
    • Ensure that IAM controls effectively mitigate identified risks and align with the company's risk appetite.
    • Lead periodic risk assessments and oversee the implementation of risk mitigation measures related to IAM.

 

  • Leadership:
    • Work closely with IT, Security, HR, Legal, and business units to ensure IAM processes support and enable business operations.
