Role description:

MSBI developer working in the Client Data Analytics Reporting Team within CST Sales Technology. The CDA Reporting Team owns and support a suite of applications, the purpose of which is to take data from various sources (Credit, Operations, Risk, Sales Revenue, Collateral ) and provide a consolidated view on clients . The core processing system is predominantly MSBI ,Python,Denodo and SQL server database, with an MS OLAP reporting layer on MSSQL on top. The OLAP layer performs the data aggregations which are consumed by Dashboards. Users of the systems are Client Account Management Team (CAM) Global Sales, Finance & CAO’s

Responsibilities 

•           Impact analysis

•           Eliciting requirements

•           Producing functional and technical specifications

•           Proactively planning for Application changes to ensure scalability and stability

•           Development and delivery of small enhancements / strategic projects

•           Defects Management - Root cause analysis / Development process improvements

•           Supporting Senior Management  

•           Coordinating testing across multiple areas

•           Release and Change management

•           Managing documentation repositories

Skills- Essential

•           Expert in MS SQL Server 2008 R2/2014/2019 database technologies including SSIS & SSAS

•           Expert in RDBMS design, development and performance tuning

•           Extensively involved with MS OLAP Cube design, development and performance tuning

•           Expertise in design, implementation and performance tuning of SSIS packages

•           Expertise in building and tuning MDX queries

•           Experience in reporting tools such as XLCubed, BIDS

•           Excellent troubleshooting and optimization skills

•           Experience of job scheduling tools such as Autosys

•           Experience in building reports using Power BI

Skills- Desirable

•           Experience working in MSBI platform

•           QA expertise

•           Recent and strong experience working with systems supporting a demanding user base

•           Experience working on cross product teams

•           An understanding of investment banking applications / front to back flows
