Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new credit risk measurement tools and extend the existing ones

  • Liaise with the credit risk analytics and risk management teams for queries related to different aspects of risk computation

  • Participate in architecture and design reviews and champion developmental best practices

  • Implement solutions for regulatory projects with tight deadlines

  • Investigate, analyse and explain the simulation and pricing models across wide variety of instruments and products for credit risk

  • Support the existing systems and timely resolution of production issue

 

Key Skills:

  • Strong academic background having graduation in engineering/technology.

  • Proven track record as a developer in a core development environment with 12 - 15 years of experience

  • Extensive hands on experience on Java/JDK (Java 8 and above).

  • Hands on experience on AWS, GRPC and Protobuf.

  • Good OOP knowledge.

  • Hands on experience on Unix and Python.

  • Understanding of various OTC instruments and pricing models would be an added advantage.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Interest and willingness to learn derivative finance especially modelling and pricing
