Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Responsibilities

 

  • Design, implement and optimize DDI infrastructure and time services
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and guidance for successful onboarding of applications and integration of infrastructure solutions
  • Oversee the daily operations of the DDI infrastructure and time service, ensuring seamless functionality, stability, and performance
  • Provide 2nd / 3rd level operational support
  • Ensure DDI infrastructure and time servce are in line with business requirement
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements related to DDI and time services operations
  • Ensure global standard and best practices are implemented in all infrastructure
  • Ensure technical documentation are properly maintained
  • Provide consultations and operational support to business and IT units
  • Manage and implement global / regional / local infrastructure initiatives as part of the global team
  • Conduct thorough analysis, monitoring, and capacity planning to maintain optimal performance and resource utilization.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline operational tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in engineering and/or operational management of DDI (DHCP, DNS, IP Management) and Time Services within enterprise environments.
  • In-depth knowledge in technologies such as BlueCat, QIP, Infoblox, Meinberg and Amazon Route 53 service is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Redhat Linux including system configuration and troubleshooting, monitoring and performance optimization, automating and streamlining system tasks
  • Expertise in network protocols, security principles, and troubleshooting methodologies related to DDI and Time Services.
  • Knowledge and experience of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) is highly desirable
  • Global / regional project implementation experience
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform) to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a global team, and on their own when required.
