Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the team to create technical solutions that meet business needs.

Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality applications using React, Java, Python, Spring, Camel and SQL.

Design and develop UI functionalities of the application using React technologies

Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure that all features work correctly and fix any defects before deploying to production.

Participate in end-to-end testing of components written by other developers to minimize bugs and issues.

Work closely with DevOps team and follow the organization policies to deploy application components in a Kubernetes environment as well as in Servers using Ansible

Troubleshoot and debug complex technical problems quickly and efficiently.

Follow best practices for version control, continuous integration, and delivery pipelines.

Provide constructive feedback during code reviews to maintain high standards of quality.

Document processes and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on fast-paced, high-stakes projects with firm delivery timelines that must be consistently met.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least five years of professional experience as a Java/React Full Stack Developer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, React, and SQL.
  • Experience working with Agile Methodology and Scrum framework.
  • Proficiency writing unit tests and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, Selenium and Cucumber.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Proven experience in architecting and developing single page web applications using NPM, Spring, and React frameworks.
  • Extensive database development experience in any database.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable

  • An understanding of investment banking sector, specifically nuances associated with various internal/ external regulations.
  • Experience with Camel
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar) and understanding of machine learning concepts; familiarity with AI integration in Java applications using libraries like DL4J or Spring AI.
