Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Primary responsibilities related to this role are as follows:

 

  • Responsible for producing and releasing daily reports, reviewing & validating daily performance for all the portfolios & composites under management. Perform month-end activities to facilitate finalization of monthly performance and attribution, including the production of standard and customized client reports.
  • Review and understand the various return calculation methodologies to analyse and spot any discrepancies.
  • Responsible for tracking changes and maintaining composites as per the GIPS policy and procedures.
  • Perform account vs benchmark analysis to ensure reasonableness of the returns produced. Effectively handle all queries from internal & external stakeholders on all the matters related to performance, attribution & risk statistics.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Admin and Client Services to provide necessary information required to prepare materials for marketing, DDQs & RFPs
  • Candidate should be proactive and have the ability to handle ad hoc requests in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Risk team to ensure the consistency of data and analysis across the business.

 

Key Skills:

  • Prior work experience in Performance measurement and Attribution analysis on Fixed Income portfolios. Familiar with Sylvan system is a plus, but not required if they have experience with other performance system should be sufficient.
  • Strong understanding of various return calculation methodologies, portfolio risk statistics and GIPS would be helpful.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong ability to develop effective working relationships with product development and articulate clear recommendations.
  • Proven capability to analyse complex data, evaluate information and draw logical conclusions
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Must communicate clearly.
