Business Unit Overview:

 

The India Analytics Group ("IAG") provides support to the Investment Banking Division across our offices globally. IAG analysts work hand-in-hand with bankers based in the different regions on databases, comparables, financial modelling, pitch books and deal execution. Currently, IAG provides support to over 35 Industry and Product teams. IAG analysts have proved to be an integral part of their teams and provide them with significant leverage in day-to-day situations.

Role & Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Team Leader position focusing on management training and development of the IBD Analyst pool
  • Assist in providing on-the-job training and development of Analysts and interns
  • Manage Analyst staffing for the Japan IB desk
  • Knowledge and experience sharing (e.g. explain the big picture of projects) and assist in management of IAG on a day-to-day basis (reporting and governance) by effectively liaising with Corporate desks such as Compliance, Finance, Audit, Operational Risk etc.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement leveraging Technology and available resources
  • Provide feedback/reviews on analyst performance
  • Assist in IAG recruiting efforts

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

 

  • Postgrad Degree preferred with experience of 2-5 years
  • Prior knowledge of IB with knowledge of capital markets strongly preferred
  • Strong user of Excel, PowerPoint and Word -Knowledge of market analysis tools (e.g., Dealogic, Bloomberg etc.)
  • Communication abilities: Clear, methodological and consistent communication with stakeholders and bankers (e.g., reporting on status, workgroup facilitation)
  • Strong quantitative skills and an ability to produce consistently high-quality, accurate work
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and coordination skills
  • Organised with good attention to detail
