Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

Annual talent cycle supported

The role provides support across the divisional talent calendar. Cycle and processes include:

  • Advancement/ Promotion cycle
  • 9 Box Talent Review & Calibration
  • 360 Process for Development and Performance (dependent on function)
  • Junior Talent and Talent Differentiation Identifications
  • Learning Pathway Support (dependent on function)

Day-to-day operations & process set-up

  • Provide hands-on support to the Talent Partners across the day-to-day operations of the talent agenda.
  • Coordinate 9-box calibration sessions in the talent system (e.g., SuccessFactors), including scheduling, population set-up and preparation of session materials.
  • Draft PowerPoint slides and reporting-back materials that summarize session outcomes, talent decisions and follow-up actions.
  • Build and maintain project infrastructure by populating templates and trackers, setting up folders, and managing system access and permissions for cross-firm processes

Data analysis & presentation

  • Support talent differentiation processes by building and maintaining the underlying data and population
  • Interpret talent data across the annual cycle by identifying trends, gaps and outliers and translating raw data into clear insight.
  • Partner closely with the MI, TSS and Performance Management teams to source, reconcile and quality-check talent data.
  • Own data preparation and presentation, producing analysis- and decision-ready outputs so Talent Partners have the capacity to deliver to the business.

Communications

  • Provide support on creating communications across talent processes by drafting participant communications, guidance and reminders, and helping keep stakeholders informed and on track.

  • An understanding of (or genuine interest in) the business and the annual cycle of the business — how talent, advancement and performance processes run across Global Markets, Corporate and Investment Banking.
  • Able to see the bigger picture and connect data and processes to what matters to the business.
