Divisional Overview:

Nomura is currently in the process of establishing a new Global Sourcing function to operate across Nomura Group companies, regions and functions to deliver an ongoing contribution to cost efficiency and commercial/contract risk mitigation associated with vendor engagements, and drive efficiencies through spend category commercial support, vendor/contract consolidation and Group-wide economies of scale.

Role & Responsibilities:

 

Working as part of the Sourcing Operations team that operates as part of an overall Global Sourcing team. Making an ongoing, tangible contribution to the operational efficiency of the Global Sourcing function, through:

 

  • Manage and maintain the Ariba global contract database system, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and accessibility
  • Streamlining the data collation of PAF for record creation in Ariba.

Identify and recommend improvements in internal systems and processes

  • Require PAF data and coordinate with various parties for required information.
  • Periodic checks and validation of contact database data.
  • Generate regular and adhoc reports relating to contract database.
  • Maintain Vendor repository in Ariba.
  • Maintain documentation of systems and processes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders regarding contract database operations.
  • Build strong relationships with global category leads and hold regular reviews to understand their needs, anticipate their future requirements and identify opportunities for operational efficiency and sustainable solutions.
