Division Overview:
Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. We have taken market-leading positions across the globe by leveraging the strength of our talent, client relationships and technology.
Business Overview:
Global Markets (GM) Powai team is an extension of regional Global Markets (Front Office) teams supporting Rates, FX, Credit, Equities Securitized Products and International Wealth Management (IWM) businesses. The division in Powai provides support for a range of activities like structuring, research, quantitative modelling, sales and trading support, pricing and balancing, product development, business management and strategy. Powai is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business
For this particular role, the individual would be part of the Powai GM division and would work for our India business in Ceejay office. The role would involve working closely with the Emerging Markets (EM) Linear Rates trading desk and the India Fixed Income Sales teams. The EM Linear Rates desk is primarily responsible for proprietary trading in Interest rate products (G-secs, Swaps, Repos, etc) and exchanges traded derivatives products such as currency futures, EQ Index futures, etc. The Fixed Income Sales team are responsible for maintaining the relationships and facilitating trading with Institutional and Corporate clients, counterparties.
Team: Asia ex-Japan Structuring:
The team works with the regional structuring, sales and trading teams to deliver bespoke solutions to clients’ hedging / investment requirements in various asset classes like Foreign Exchange, Rates, Hybrids, Credit and Equity. The team is also involved in developing cross asset strategies / Indices for clients. This involves executing the firm’s strategies using the state-of-the-art pricing models to value complex derivative products.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Working in close tandem with global trading desks facing dynamic markets and aggressive deadlines
· Pricing FX / Rates OTC derivative structured products
· Understanding and implementing the state-of-the-art pricing models in variable scenarios
· Work in close collaboration with the global teams to help develop and validate pricing models for the new business
· Pre-trade modelling, strategy selection, monitoring, performance analysis
· Integration with trading systems and execution channels
· Suggest and actualize innovative product designs and trading ideas
· Risk modelling optimal portfolio construction for clients
