Business Overview:
Global Markets (GM) Powai team is an extension of regional Global Markets (Front Office) teams supporting Equities, Securitized Products, Rates, FX, and Credit. The division in Powai provides support for a range of activities like research, quantitative modelling, sales and trading support, pricing and balancing, product development and strategy. Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business
The Business Management / CAO team in Mumbai is a key business unit within the GM division. It houses a number of extended teams for various regional functions such as AEJ & EMEA GM Business Management, GM Digital Office (GMDO) CAO, Client Account Management and Strategy (CAMS), GM Control Office (GMCO), International Wealth Mgmt (IWM) BM & Control Office, and Senior Relationship Management (SRM). All the sub teams are an integral part of the broader Business Management / CAO/ respective teams with their principal centres in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, New York and Mumbai.
This particular role is within the US GM Sales CAO/ Business Mgmt team that is being newly set-up under the broader GM Business Management team (GM CAOs). The Business Managers play a strategic role in delivering the Global Markets business agenda. They work extensively with Business Heads to drive their strategy, execute the business plans and run the floor. They are the face of business for the various Corporate Functions and are responsible for implementing the business policies.

Role & Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the US GM Sales CAO - Business Mgmt team that is being newly set-up under the broader Business Management team (GM CAOs) based in Powai, Mumbai.
- The individual will be joining an existing team of Business Managers based in Powai and work very closely with other Sales Business Managers based in Powai as well as in the region.
- The individual will assume day-to-day responsibilities which will contribute towards business management, performance monitoring, managing infrastructure/ processes which support US GM Sales as well as driving key business initiatives that are critical for the growth and day to day operation of the franchise
- The role would require working with all the functions in the GM space – Sales, Trading, Research, and Structuring and with all the Corporate functions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Analysis, Management Presentations
- Assist Sales/ Product Desk Heads with data-backed actionable insights focusing on dimensions like revenue trends, product & segment penetration, wallet-share analysis, hit-miss analysis, client onboarding & engagement etc.
- Prepare management presentations to summarize revenue, expenses, resource consumption and other management reporting metrics
- Prepare periodic business summaries covering financial metrics as well as business commentary for Senior Management
- Owning and Driving key business initiatives to achieve GM business objectives
- Setup appropriate infra and support systems to monitor progress
- Coordinate with various corporate functions to ensure seamless execution
- Partnering with Technology, Operations, Finance, other Corporate functions
- Own day to day issues pertaining to various corporate functions and ensure closure
- Control and Conduct
- Owning Audit points and business continuity management (BCM) plan for the unit
- Expense approval, tracking and expense management
