Divisional Overview:
Global Middle Office (GMO) is a control function focused on the integrity of key transactional, risk and financial data and reporting. GMO will also perform an Advisory role partnering with the business and management to help deliver the firm-wide strategy. To achieve this GMO will leverage the latest Digital Innovation & Automation (DI&A) opportunities to optimize GMO’s efficiency and operating model. Key Responsibilities include:
Data Management:
Providing a complete and validated data set of transactional information, efficiencies in the production and proactive management of these data sets
Control:
Provide assurance on accuracy of firm’s financial statements through daily PL validation, Risk
Model inputs, Proactive management of internal inventory and collateral obligations to ensure key liquidity / collateral requirements are optimized
Advisory:
Provide business support and oversight on new products/transactions, financial resources, liquidity management and trade bookings. Propose and implement FTB process improvements; institute performance analytics; and help navigate regulatory, industry and account changes.

Business Unit Overview:
Equity Middle Office provides support to Front Office trading desk and Regional MO counterparts in managing risk. Middle office ensures trade bookings are properly captured in the risk management system. Middle Office is part of Operations division, due to their critical role; Middle Office always acts in tandem with Front Office & Back Office (confirmations, settlements, collateral, etc) and is responsible for risk and P&L controls.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Equity Derivatives MO team - Person should have knowledge about cash equities, OTC equity products and reconciliations like Inter system recs, Inter-company recs.
- Key responsibility of the team is to ensure the bookings on Nomura systems are in line with the trade recaps provided by trader/broker/sales.
- Understanding the Equity Derivatives products and markets.
- Performing activities like T0 validations, amendment/corrections to the trade economics based on front office requests
- Performing trade and position reconciliations
- Managing risk for the firm, by supporting the various activities in the Trade Life Cycle Management
- Liaising with Settlements for trade fails and settlement queries
- Query Management and liaising with the Desk
Position Specifications:
Experience : 1-3 years
Qualification : B.com, MBA
Mandatory Skill Set :
- Product Knowledge on Equity Derivatives and Cash Equities
- Diligent in resolving and analyzing exceptions
- Flexible for working in shifts and long hours occasionally
