The Corporate finance team performs global and seamless Finance operations including trading and product control, Group financial reporting and disclosure, management information and reporting for decision support, planning and development of financial strategy including funding policies and financial analysis, funding and cash management, tax planning and reporting, investor relations management, and much more.

US GFA People Soft GL Admin function governs and supervises the general ledger, finance system control & data integrity processes. It details the control requirements throughout the end-to-end process of Financial General Ledger & systems.

 

The Systems administration group oversees a number of functions relating to the control and management of the Corporate General Ledger & Finance Systems. It is intermediate group between finance controllers & IT support group. It performs techno-functional role to manage various finance systems across all regions

 

The role of the team encompasses the global coordination and management of the control functions, security, data integrity, and user support on the GL systems applications that are owned under the finance umbrella.

Role & Responsibilities:

 

 

Team oversees a number of functions relating to the control and management of the Corporate General Ledger & Finance Systems for US GFA People Soft GL.

 

  • Overlooking the data received from Front office & send out the Exception report to the controllers

for the missing records/ entries in the Ledger

  • Ensuring there should not be any breaks in core GL control accounts
  • Ensure all the Trades which are booked in Middle office, postings have flown correctly in the GL.
  • Assisting Product controllers if there are any discrepancies over the realized & unrealized PNL which

is flown in the ledger based on the front office bookings and feed data send.

  • Perform System control checks and resolve discrepancies if there is any.
  • Manage system access, security and entitlements.
  • Ensure Revaluation of Balance sheet & P&L accounts, Monthly P&L movement to Head Quarters

books & Trial balance is in Sync.

  • Maintain & review Chart of values. (Book, Security, Nominal Accounts, Counterparty)
  • Maintain the GL financial rules & its mapping.
  • Perform GL Month End & Year-End roll over (moving the P&L to Retained earnings in the balance sheet)
  • Investigate queries/issues of Finance & liaison with technology to prioritize on enhancements & developments.
  • Project support and assist with Testing small enhancements
