Divisional Overview (Mandatory):

Powai Finance is an integral part of the CFO division and plays a key role in various Finance functions ranging from Treasury, Global Middle Office, Financial Control & Regulatory Reporting, Global Infrastructure, Cost Analytics and MI. Located strategically to cater to multiple time zones, Powai Finance ensures internal and regulatory deliverables across all regions are supported.

Business Unit Overview (If Applicable):

CMA team in Mumbai is an extension of the Global CMA team providing Analytical and Quantitative Support to the onshore teams. Team caters to Monthly book closure as well as MIS requirements of senior management across Nomura Group (Retail, Wholesale, Corporate divisions) and regions (Japan, AeJ, EMEA and US). Team is responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting of Revenues, Expenses and other financial resources.

Within CMA, Global Corporate Advisory team caters to MIS requirements and provides Cost analytics to senior management of Nomura Group division in Tokyo. The team is comprised of dedicated regional groups based in Powai supporting Global stakeholders in Europe, Asia-Ex, Japan and US.

Role & Responsibilities:

Support Cost Management & Analytics team in EMEA London for preparation of monthly Expenses and finalising them.
Preparation and review of accrual files and having calls for finalising accruals, prepayments.
Booking of Manual accrual / prepayments on various expense lines
Review of transaction level bookings on a monthly basis
Preparation and submission of AV (Account verification) for governance and substantiation.
Preparation of Invoices for Intercompany payments and receipts
Commentary for senior management for month on month variance, variance against budget. ( Business wise, expense line wise )
Understanding of Finance Data architecture for solving queries
Assisting onshore with budgeting activities during budget period.
Adhoc, Projects, Presentations, MIS requests.
Working knowledge on MS Excel
Knowledge of Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau would be an added advantage
