Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platformt o support the growth of Nomura’s global business.
Business Unit Overview
Business Performance Reporting is part of the Powai Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE). It is designed to provide reporting across all financial metrics for Business and Corporate Management. It is leveraging the advances in data quality and SME capability across the CoE to improve the breadth and depth of Finance MIS. The BPR team is organized across 3 key areas:
- Executive and Business Reporting: This group is responsible for Wholesale MI, critical forbusiness reviews and decision making, across Senior Management. This group also workingtowards creating SME capability to support the evolution of ‘On Demand MI’.
- Cost Reporting and Corporate Advisory: This group provides transparency to the cost driversof the Wholesale Business and Corporate Divisions. This encompasses financial managementsupport through budgeting, forecasting, reporting, allocation and analysis activities. The team isleveraging digital tools to redesign and optimize processes to facilitate strategic costmanagement initiatives.
- Core Process and Control: This group is responsible for the control and consistency of allstandard MIS reports distributed to Nomura Senior Management and Wholesale BusinessLeads. This group is working on the transformation of report production through the application ofautomated scheduled solutions.

- The candidate must have a strong background in visual data delivery; interactive design and DAX with apassion for re imagine/ design. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for planning, designing,coordinating and developing highly interactive dashboards, reports with built-in guided analytics for variouslines of business
Position Specifications:
- Experience 2 – 3 Years in Business and Sales MI
- Qualification Bachelor’s Degree preferable in Commerce / MBA in Finance
- IT Qualification Alteryx, Power BI
Role & Responsibilities:
Business Domain
- Support APAC Sales team in regular BAU and is able to manage their queries.
- Publishing Management reports for Global Sales Business heads, CEO’s and CAO’s withanalysis of Daily, MTD, & YTD Client & Sales revenue numbers.
- Delivering on the adhoc requests within the stringent timeliness and maintaining highlevel of accuracy.
- Constantly communicating with Sales persons and Sales Business Managers to assistthem in accounting & tracking the amount of Sales credits received and paid on daily basis
- Highlighting vital future pipeline deals and large trades executed within the day torespective Product and Sales heads on daily basis.
- Analyze the trend of revenue numbers and make reports to enable senior management inpreparation of Budgets.
- Doing UAT -Testing and giving sign off on the new developments requested.
Technical Domain
- Design and develop ETL workflows and datasets in Alteryx to be used by the BI
- Solid, deep experience with data extract, transform and load (ETL) tools as Alteryx anddata visualization tools
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows supporting BIreports
- Develop self-service models, data analytics using power BI service
- Design and deploy rich graphic visualizations with Drill Down and Drop down menuoptions and parameterized using Power BI
- Create dashboards and reports within Power BI based on written requirements
- Ability to interact with business users and understand their requirements
- Communicate complex topics to team through both written and oral communications
Skill Set:
Business and Technical & Business (Mandatory)
- Understanding of Capital Markets and Sales
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Basic Understanding of Investment Banking Products
- Power BI (Preferable)
- 2+ years of hands-on skills and experience Power BI
- Experience with data ETL (SQL, Alteryx) and ability to manipulate dataand draw insights from large data sets. .
- Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries for any RDBMS with query optimization
- Strong understanding and hands-on related to Data modelling in Power BI [Relationships, DAX queries & Calculation and measures]
- Creating reports and interactive Data Visualizations in Power BI
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of learningnew technologies quickly and troubleshooting abilities
- Good understanding of unit testing, software change management, andsoftware release management
- Good understanding the star schema and data models in the existingdata warehouse
- Good knowledge on configuring and managing Power BI gateway -Enterprise
