Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.

 

Role & Responsibilities of the position in brief:
 

  • Prioritize conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on open items to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Financial Management and Reporting
    • Participate in preparing budgets, co-ordinate with local and regional BMO’s to finalize allocations and numbers
    • Proactively manage budgetary spends, resource allocations and meet profitability objectives of the firm
    • Be responsible for Financial reporting to Sr Mgmt – Actuals, Projections, Deviations and mitigation plans
  • MI Framework
    • Provide dashboards – Financials projection, Tracking Profit objectives, Employee and divisional performance management scorecard, Skill scorecard, Practice areas plans and progress etc to provide insight of Divisional objectives and enable decision making
    • Demand Portal, Resource allocations and fungibility scorecards
  • Vendor Governance and Management
    • Overall management and governance of the relationship
    • Develop scorecards/metrics/dashboards to monitor supplier performance
    • Run weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings as required to conduct periodic QA of vendor processes and operations
    • Manage book of work, commercials, contracts and billing.
  • Business Continuity Co-ordinator
    • Be responsible for contingency readiness of people, process and infrastructure to avoid disruption of business
    • Ensure SOW’s are in place and review them periodically
  • Operations Risk Co-ordinator
    • Responsible for Risk mitigation frameworks, periodic reviews to identify risks, strengthen or build new controls and key man risk mitigations.
  • Sharepoint management
    • Ensure key presentations and documents are maintained centrally and updated on regular basis
  • Constantly review the Operating model and come out with suggestions for evolve and improve

  • [Mandatory] Excellent presentation skills. Experience in creating Sr. Mgmt presentations, able to demonstrate thought leadership
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in building Tableau dashboards would be desirable
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
