Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. We have taken market-leading positions across the globe by leveraging the strength of our talent, client relationships and technology.

 

Business Overview:

 

Global Markets (GM) Powai team is an extension of regional Global Markets (Front Office) teams supporting Equities, Securitized Products, Rates, FX, and Credit. The division in Powai provides support for a range of activities like research, quantitative modelling, sales and trading support, pricing and balancing, product development and strategy. Powai is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business

 

This role is to work closely with Macro Sales and FI Research Leadership to measure Sales / Analyst performance, drive projects to recognize resource consumption revenues and work on multiple strategic priorities for the Fixed Income business as well as the FI Research heads. The team works very closely with the regional stakeholders in driving many related projects and initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

  • We are seeking a dynamic individual to work with the Macro Research & Marketing team. The team works closely with Senior Fixed Income Management across projects aimed at performance analysis, highlighting resourcing & profitability gaps, monitor client focus lists and thus work towards accelerating client intensity.

 

  • In-depth analysis of research engagement patterns to measure service intensity levels delivered to clients by quantifying the varying degrees of effort required for different interactions. Work closely with Senior Management on numerous client performance-related projects and ad-hoc tasks.

 

  • Monitoring analyst engagement by tracking service effectiveness, including client readership and attendance at various macro events and sessions and map research utilization against revenue contribution to highlight resource-intensive clients with suboptimal revenue generation within the Fixed Income business.

 

  • Contribute to data analytics for improving distribution, marketing and monetization of Nomura's research content.

 

  • Work with Nomura sales to better monetize the research output.

 

  • Perform business analysis, understand key objective of clients and their requirements, and build strong relationships with business and sales and create interactive dashboards for the business using automation (Excel, Power BI etc.).

 

  • Track and maintain the FI research access granted to clients and timely revoke the access and update tracker when the MIFID agreement is terminated.

 

  • Work closely with Nomura IT team to explain business requirements of various projects and ensure their smooth functioning.
