Role & Responsibilities:

 

The primary responsibilities for the roles within the Business Management Team would include:

 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of Mumbai Prime Brokerage hub supporting all regions.
    • Ensure timely delivery of regional reports and client analytics
    • Work with global stakeholders including business heads across regions
    • Handle escalations on internal reporting effectively
  • Produce / analyse various Business management reports for Prime Finance; ensure accuracy and integrity of these reports.
    • Generate daily/weekly revenue and position reports using SQL
    • Validate data accuracy across multiple reporting systems
    • Create standardized dashboards for various business metrics
  • Develop business understanding to be able to explain P&L drivers.
    • Investigate any discrepancies in the P&L numbers based on the queries received from business heads.
    • Investigate and trouble shoot issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Bring in efficiency in your daily BAU activities using latest tools/technology in the industry.
    • Develop automated solutions using SQL/Python
    • Streamline existing processes and reporting
  • Run meetings and help with various presentations including Front office supervision, Client reviews & performance:
    • Prepare management information packs
    • Document and track action items
    • Support business reviews and strategic initiatives

  • Post Graduate Degree/ MBA, CFA, CA or equivalent finance major or similar
  • Strong knowledge of Equities, Equity Derivatives, Convertible Bonds, Fixed Income, Repo, and Futures and Options.
  • MS Excel to expert level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong logical, analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Strong team player, a quick learner and willing to put extra effort to build client / stakeholder relations and garner business knowledge.
  • Self-starter and ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python.
  • Previous experience in Global Markets (Prime Brokerage, Equity Financing, Treasury or Risk management) preferred
  • Knowledge of Prime Brokerage and/or financing businesses, and client motivations.
  • Good general knowledge & understanding of current macro-economic trends.
  • Cross products (Cash / Synthetics PB, Sec-lending, Liquidity management etc.) knowledge a plus.
  • Experience of BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
