Business Overview:

 

Global Markets (GM) Powai team is an extension of regional Global Markets (Front Office) teams supporting Equities, Securitized Products, Rates, FX, and Credit. The division in Powai provides support for a range of activities like research, quantitative modelling, sales and trading support, pricing and balancing, product development and strategy. Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business

 

The Business Management/ CAO team in Powai is a key Business Unit within the GM division. It houses a number of extended teams for various regional functions acting as enablers for the FO team such as AEJ, EMEA & US GM Business Management, Client Account Management and Strategy (CAMS), Global Markets Control Office (GMCO) and Senior Relationship Management (SRM).

 

This particular role is within the Business Management team – EMEA Business Management. The Business Managers play a strategic role in delivering the Global Markets business agenda. They work extensively with Front Office Business Heads to drive their strategy, execute the business plans and run the floor. They are the face of business for the various Corporate Functions and are responsible for implementing the business policies.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the GM - Business Management team, based in Powai, partnering with the EMEA GM Business Management team (primarily Sales CAO, Client Strategy)

 

  • The individual will be joining an existing team of Business Managers based in Powai and work very closely with Business Managers based in Powai as well as in the region.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • The individual will contribute towards day-to-day responsibilities for Sales CAO/business management team including but not limited to performance monitoring, business presentations, reporting, ad hoc strategic projects and initiatives
    • Presentation of key performance metrics to senior management and produce meaningful insights.
    • Co-ordinate with sales and corporate divisions to drive various strategic initiatives such as prioritisation of new to bank On-boarding and prepare key metrics around monetisation of new clients.
    • Co-ordinate with sales management on their client coverage and maintain sales coverage model in salesforce., among others
    • Facilitate decision making by delivering Management presentations to analyse and summarize revenue, sales credits, resource consumption, client interactions and other metrics.
    • Help quantify new business opportunities by analysing industry and competitor info using third party data aggregators
    • Owning and driving business initiatives to achieve GM business objectives; both regional and global in nature
    • Global coordination and delivery on Strategic projects, Year End Business Planning, etc.
