Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Project Delivery: Deliver IT projects to agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Planning & Control: Maintain project plans, WBS, RAID and change control.
Stakeholder Management: Function as the key interface between IT and business
teams.
Governance & Reporting: Ensure PMO compliance with clear, executive-level
reporting.
Leadership: Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups,
retrospectives) to maintain, improve flow, and boost team efficiency.
Risk & Dependency Mitigation: Proactively identify and removing blockers to
delivery and managing risks across technical and business areas.
Execution & Documentation: Drive actions to closure and maintain audit-ready
documentation.
Required Experience & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business
or a related field.
Experience: Overall, 8 to 10 years of IT Infra Project Management
Methodologies: Strong proficiency in Project Management methodologies such as
Agile or Waterfall project management.
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE or Agile-related
certifications are highly preferred.
Soft Skills: Excellent verbal & written communication, negotiation and influential
skills, the ability to collaborate cross divisions, teams and regions building
relationships with colleagues at all levels from a range of departments, business
areas and cultures to build consensus.
Confident self-starter: can work under pressure, using initiative with the drive to
work to aggressive deadlines and to see tasks through to completion.
MIS Reporting: Strong hand’s on XLS, Power Point to create multiple reports
Candidates should have an IT infrastructure background with experience delivering
technical/ infrastructure-led projects.
Common Tools:
Project Management Software: JIRA, Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
Documentation/ Collaboration: Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office Suite.
