Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’ s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to partner with business leaders in establishing and executing strategic project management roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives and priorities. This role encompasses end-to-end program delivery, governance, reporting, and resource planning for large-scale, high-visibility initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Project Scope: Large-scale, high-visibility initiatives
- Lead and manage global change programs as PMO lead, workstream lead, or lead business analyst
- Plan, manage, and control portfolio of projects including business process improvements, new initiatives, process reengineering, and transitions
- Monitor project progress, schedule adherence, resource utilization, and objective achievement
- Engage with project stakeholders and cross-functional business leaders to build and maintain project pipeline
- Establish and manage end-to-end program/project governance frameworks
Program Oversight
- Own end-to-end management of high-visibility projects delivered by the function
- Independently plan, organize, manage, and control activities across multiple large-scale, cross-functional project teams
- Identify and manage interdependencies across programs and workstreams
- Ensure timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards
Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular status updates to senior management and maintain transparent communication
- Build and maintain trusted relationships through consistent stakeholder engagement
- Collect and synthesize stakeholder feedback to develop actionable improvement plans
- Facilitate discussions and decision-making across organizational levels and geographies

Technical & Domain Expertise
- Solid understanding of HR processes and systems
- Hands-on experience managing UAT, parallel runs, and implementation for large-scale global projects
- Proven experience in requirements gathering with sensitivity to regional variations in global implementations
- Experience creating go-live design criteria and cutover plans
- Deep understanding of IT systems and processes supporting end-to-end HR operations
- Previous involvement in projects requiring interface builds and data migration
- Experience working with and managing third-party vendors, including issue resolution and vendor management
Change Management
- Comprehensive change management expertise
- Ability to create strategic documentation including change impact assessments, benefits realization plans, and stakeholder communication materials
- Experience driving adoption and managing resistance across diverse stakeholder groups
